| Privacy (Public and Private) Tribute Web Page settings
As a Tribute Manager you can determine the privacy settings of the display of your Tribute Web Page. Before choosing a privacy display option you will need to read and accept or decline the Public or Private privacy disclaimers. Declining will prevent you from creating a Tribute Web Page.
Private Setting:
Choosing a Private setting will display your Tribute Web Page only to those whom you allow access. You could invite someone to view the Tribute Web Page, or for example, if a friend or family wants to view your Private Tribute Web Page, they must first register as a member. When they try to view your Private Tribute they will be automatically prompted to request access. Next, they choose the "request access" selection and an automatic email is generated and sent to you with a prompt to either Grant Access or Deny Request .
If you deny the request, they are not given permission to gain access and a polite email is sent to them stating that they are denied access.
If you grant access, an automatic email is sent to them stating that they are granted access and have permission to add comments, upload photos, videos and link poems and stories to your Tribute Web Page.
As Tribute Manager you can delete anything that has been uploaded or linked to your Tribute Web Page. Once you give someone permission to access your Tribute Web Page you will not need to do it again as long as they remain an active member. You also have the option to change the privacy settings at any time. If you wish to change the access status of a member you can do so by contacting the website administrator contact@bigheartedpeople.com.
Public Setting:
You will be asked to certify that you have received permission from the recipient or the recipient's family to publicly display their Tribute Page and that you are at least 18 years of age.
Choosing a Public setting will display your Tribute Web Page to anyone who comes to the Big-Hearted People Website. They will be able to add comments but not upload photos, videos and link poems and stories to your Tribute Page unless you grant them access.
For someone to be able to receive access to your Public Tribute you must temporarily make it a Private Tribute and when they try to view the Private Tribute, they will be automatically prompted to request access. Next, they choose the "request access" selection and an automatic email is generated and sent to you with a prompt to either Grant Access or Deny Request . You can then return it to a Public Tribute after access is granted. Once you give someone permission to access your Tribute Web Page you will not need to do it again as long as they remain an active member.
As Tribute Manager you can delete anything that has been uploaded or linked to your Tribute Web Page. It's important to realize that as a Tribute Web Page Manager, it is your responsibility to monitor your Tribute Web Page and that everything that's posted/uploaded meets your approval.
